Residents  come out in an outpouring of support to pay tribute to Sir Norman Kirby on this very historic day,  the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands


Their heroic and tenacious actions 75 years ago brought freedom to our lives and to Canada Our Home and Native Land.  ”Lest we Forget”.

Decorated World War II veteran, and beloved Lions Bay resident Sir Norman Kirby celebrated his 95th birthday on 9 July with a surprise party from his friends, family and Fire Chief Andrew Oliver with the Lions Bay Fire Rescue Dept.

Lions Bay Historical Society
